The basic rating you need to operate an aircraft is your Private Pilot Rating. The Private Pilot Course is designed for those students who just want to fly as a hobby or as the first step for students who wish to complete the Commercial Pilot Course or Professional Pilot Program. A subset of this course is available for students who already have a Fixed-Wing Private Pilot Certificate (Private Pilot Add-On Course).

Course completion time for a full-time student is about two months.
